I am so glad to hear someone else has this coughing problem with Plaquenil, however, I am sorry that you have to deal with it. I was taking Plaquenil and developed a cough, to the point of getting sick. I recently had a bad flare, so I spoke with my doctor and agreed to start it again, because he does not believe the cough was a result of it. Balances out the steroids and im guessing, the Plaquenil, because I had weird issues before with Plaquenil and this time I don't. I know they can be addictive so im careful, and I respect them, I try to skip if I can, but between anxiety from pills helping me to live better, and addicted to nerve pills, I choose all the above and lead a calm life I had multiple implants done while on plaquenil. I've also had some crowns done and lots of dental work. While everyone is different my dentist -implantologist- never once mentioned being on plaq. Get on a flouride rinse ASAP. Not OTC either a script strength. It's made a huge difference. I always took great care of my teeth too.
